PHPSESSID: To enable the site to recognise the same user clicking from page to page and remember everything within your shopping basket. SESSION: This is for your convenience, the site creates a copy of your initial session so that if you leave the site, the contents of your shopping basket will still be available. If you sign in with an email address and password, these login details are also saved so you can remain logged in when returning (the password is encrypted). If you sign out, your login details are removed from the cookie.
